Kirsten is Chairman of the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority and General Counsel & Head of Group Governance of Australian Unity Limited, a national healthcare, financial services and retirement living organisation.

Prior to this she was general counsel with Sigma Pharmaceuticals Ltd and a former chair of the Ethics Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria. She has worked extensively throughout Australia, Asia and the former Soviet Union.

Kirsten holds a Masters of Laws, is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of the member of Chartered Secretaries Australia and Risk Management Institute of Australia.
